Technical Troubleshooting

Q: Why doesn't my Totwoo bracelet flash?

If it doesn't flash while you touch it, it might have run out of power. Please charge it and try again. If it still doesn't work after charging, contact us at support@totwoo.com.

If you touch your bracelet but your partner's doesn't flash, this is usually a connection error between the jewelry and the app. See the connection troubleshooting steps below.

Q: Having connection problems with the app?

Accept all permission requests for the app (Bluetooth, notifications, location). Not accepting these will prevent the bracelet from connecting.

If you're having trouble connecting, try turning on location and Bluetooth at the same time. Also check:

  1. Your totwoo might not be connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or cellular)
  2. Your totwoo might have run out of battery
  3. Your totwoo and phone may be too far apart — keep them within 10ft (3m)
  4. Go to Settings → Bluetooth and make sure it's on
  5. Switch Bluetooth off and on again
  6. Go to Settings → Location and make sure it's on

The app must be running in the background at all times. Since phones sometimes close apps automatically, set up your phone as follows:

  1. Make sure phone is NOT in Low Power Mode
  2. Turn off Do Not Disturb mode
  3. Enable Background App Refresh: Settings → totwoo → Background App Refresh (on)
  4. Enable Notifications: Settings → Notifications → totwoo → allow all
  5. Try removing other background apps
  6. Close and relaunch the totwoo app
  7. If all else fails: delete and reinstall the totwoo app

Q: How do I send a totwoo love signal?

Make sure your bracelet has enough power, is within 10ft (3m) of your phone, Bluetooth is enabled, and the app is running in the background. Then tap your bracelet to send a touch signal to your partner.

Q: Not receiving/sending love signals — Android

  1. Allow notifications: Settings → Notifications → totwoo → Allow notifications
  2. Reconfigure Android pairing: Disconnect totwoo in the app, then go to Android Bluetooth settings, tap the cog next to totwoo and select "Unpair". Re-pair through the totwoo app only — never through the system Bluetooth menu.
  3. Other tips: Check you're bonded with your partner. Activate the bracelet with a tap before sending. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off.

Q: Not receiving/sending love signals — iOS

  1. Allow app notifications: iPhone Settings → scroll to totwoo → Notifications → Allow Notifications (green)
  2. Allow Bluetooth notifications to bracelet: Settings → Bluetooth → tap "i" next to totwoo device → Share System Notifications (green)
  3. Reconfigure pairing: Settings → Bluetooth → tap "i" next to totwoo → Forget This Device → re-pair through the totwoo app
  4. Other tips: Don't quit the app by swiping up. Check Background App Refresh: Settings → General → Background App Refresh → totwoo (on).

Q: What if I change my phone number?

You'll need to create a new totwoo account with your new number and set up your bracelet again. You don't need to buy a new bracelet — but the old connection history cannot be recovered.

Q: What if I lose Bluetooth connection while sending a love code?

Your message won't be sent without Bluetooth. Simply reconnect Bluetooth and resend the touch signal.

Q: Warranty and Replacement

All totwoo smart products come with a 1-year warranty. If you need a replacement:

  • Email us at support@totwoo.com
  • Provide your order number
  • Describe the issue and what you've tried

We'll try to solve it remotely first. If a replacement is needed, we'll send you a return address and ship a new item once the return is received.
